Most popular baby names of 1907

In 1907, the most popular names for US babies were John for boys (8,983 babies, 6.1% of boys) and Mary for girls (17,580 babies, 5.5% of girls). The rest of the top five were William, James, George and Robert for boys and Helen, Margaret, Anna and Ruth for girls. SSA recorded 1,549 different boy names and 2,399 different girl names that year.
